Simple CV Advice
A good CV doesn't need to be fancy — it just needs to be clear, honest and easy to read. Whether you're applying for warehouse, office or sales roles, these simple tips will help you present yourself well.
Personal Profile
Write a few short paragraphs explaining what type of role you're looking for, your strengths, what you've achieved, and where you want to go next. Keep it honest and clear.
Key Skills
Keep this short and easy to scan. Include things like warehouse ops, admin, software skills, licences and qualifications. Only include what actually matters for the jobs you want.
Employment History
Start with your most recent job first. Include company name, job title, dates, and bullet points explaining what you actually did. Focus on achievements and responsibilities.
Education
Include qualification, school/college/university and year completed. List most recent first. If you have limited work experience, place Education before Employment History.
Hobbies & Interests
This is where people often show who they really are. Sports, volunteering, coaching — anything that shows commitment or responsibility. Skills get you considered. Personality often gets you hired.
