JR Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency based in High Wycombe, serving jobseekers and employers right across Buckinghamshire. With over 23 years of hands-on experience in the local market, we exist to do recruitment properly — not as a numbers game, but as a proper working relationship between real people.
Every candidate we register is spoken to properly. Every role we take on is briefed properly. Nothing is dressed up, nothing is rushed and nothing is left to chance.
Our Story
JR Recruitment was set up to fix something a lot of jobseekers and hiring managers had grown tired of — a recruitment experience that felt impersonal, transactional and often plain unhelpful. Twenty-three years on we are still an independent, owner-led business based in High Wycombe, deliberately small enough that every candidate is a person on our list rather than a line on a spreadsheet.
Being local matters. We know the business parks, the shift patterns, the commuting routes and the kind of employers people want to work for — because we live and work in the same towns as our candidates. That local grounding is what allows us to make matches that stick, rather than placements that fall apart six weeks in.

How We Work With Candidates
Registration is free, quick and confidential. Send your CV over or call us and one of our consultants will speak to you within a working day. We take the time to understand what you are looking for — the role, the salary, the hours, the location — and only put you forward for jobs that actually match. Both permanent and temporary vacancies are available, and many of the best roles we fill are never advertised publicly.
We will not push you into interviews that are wrong for you, or badger you when a decision needs thinking through. If a role is not right we will say so; if it is right we will help you prepare properly.
How We Work With Employers
For employers, fast turnaround matters — but so does sending you people who fit. We vet every candidate we put forward, reference where appropriate, and brief them properly on the role so nobody's time is wasted at interview. For temp cover we can often have the right person on site inside 24 to 48 hours; for permanent roles we invest more time up front to save you months of poor hires.
Flexible temporary cover, temp-to-perm trials, contract assignments and full permanent recruitment are all available, and our fees are transparent — no upfront charges and no surprises.
